The Mirasol Collection : Akapana Book 14
This is the book of Akapana knitted items for women! The collection of 8 cardigans, sweaters and accessories uses cables.
Every design uses a cable pattern to create texture and shape. I love cables, I love the history behind them and the texture they create.
As always I like to create simple designs that are easy to get follow, so while these cables are a little
complicated for someone new to cabling they are simple to learn.
Akapana is a thick and thin yarn plied in 2 and is a beautiful blend of the 65% baby llama, 25% merino wool and 10% donegal (made up of 7% acrylic and 3% viscose) in natural and multicolour neps. It is the perfect yarn for a cable. The cable is also perfect for Akapana as it creates a more dense
fabric yet still has the delicate softness of the yarn.
