I had a fantastic time at River City Yarns! Barb and Cynthia are such lovely people who looked after me so well.

While the ladies on the workshop weekend were brilliant and made the whole experience so memorable. I miss everyone!

I love doing these workshops because I love sharing techniques and learning new things.

I learnt that there is a yarn more expensive than cashmere. I have not seen it or touched it but it supposed to be much softer than cashmere.

It's made from an Oomingmak (the bearded one in Inupiat language) or Alaskan Musk Ox (in my language!) and is called Qiviut (though there are different variations on how it is spelt because Inupiat was originally spoken and not written, so the language and the sounds to not translate into our alphabet)

It has been called the Golden Fleece of the Arctic. As I said it is supposed to be more expensive and much more softer than cashmere as well as warmer and lighter. This is all what people have told me and not what I have actually seen. But I can't wait to find it one day!
