The Mirasol Yarn Collection is a range of luxurious yarns that support the traditions and culture of Peru by ensuring that a percentage of the purchase of the yarn goes directly back to the shepherd's families.
Peru’s Heritage and Culture of Textile Artistry is one of the richest in the world. Without the shepherds tending their animals in the Peruvian highlands we would not have this beautiful luxurious yarn. By purchasing the Mirasol Yarn Collection you are supporting the children of the Peruvian shepherds and the continuation of this tradition. A portion of every purchase is directly dedicated to the funding of a school in the region of Puno.
I was very excited to be asked to be involved with and design for the Mirasol Project. For me, it was a Serendipity moment. I feel so lucky to be there at the beginning and see it grow from strength to strength with beautiful results for the local people.
